SSIS Component Explorer
In the world of data warehousing, SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) is a popular platform for building high performance data integration solutions including Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) packages for data warehousing.

But programming Integration Service has become more popular in between SSIS developers recently. So to help SSIS developers for boosting their programming abilities, SQL Lion team has come up with a unique tool called “SSIS Component Explorer”. This tool can be used as a Swiss Army Knife, to hunt down critical problems while developing SSIS package programmatically.
“SSIS Component Explorer” is the best utility to develop SSIS package programmatically in C# .net with more ease and effectiveness. This auto generates backend code for all the components in SSIS. Moreover it describes all the components and their relative properties like Creation Name, Component ClassId, etc required to develop a package. It includes the below components:
- Control Flow components (Tasks and Containers)
- Data Flow components (Data Flow Sources, Data Flow Transformations and Data Flow Destinations)
- Connection Managers
- Log Providers
- Foreach Loop Enumerators
- SSIS Data types
It also shows code snippets as well as detail description of each property with code in its advance mode that eases the developers and accelerates their action. It comes in two versions, “SSIS Component Explorer 2005 Pro” and “SSIS Component Explorer 2008″ for SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008, respectively. Both the versions are given below.
